Right of withdrawal

If you buy a plan as a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract. A consumer is someone who buys for purposes outside their trade, business or profession. The Searcher plan is the one plan sold to consumers. The Professional plan is sold to business customers only, who have no right of withdrawal. Ending a plan at any time, which is open to everyone, is described further down.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Clemens Mosig, c/o Block Services, Stuttgarter Str. 106, 70736 Fellbach, Germany, telephone +49 341 24933032, email hello@ruralcheck.eu) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or e-mail). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
You can also electronically fill in and submit an unequivocal statement on our website at ruralcheck.eu/withdraw. If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount which is in proportion to what has been provided until you have communicated us your withdrawal from this contract, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.

What this means for a plan
A plan starts as soon as it is paid for, which is inside the 14 days. So the checkout asks a consumer to request that, in these words:
I ask for my plan to start now, before the 14 day withdrawal period ends. I understand that if I withdraw within that period, I pay for the days I had the plan.
We record that you asked, when, and the exact words you were shown, and the confirmation we email you repeats them. Asking to start straight away does not take away your right of withdrawal. It means that if you withdraw within the 14 days, you pay for the days you had the plan, and we refund the rest.
The days are counted from the start of each payment, and the day you withdraw counts as a day you had the plan. A monthly plan withdrawn on its 5th day of a 30-day month costs 5 days out of 30. A weekly plan renews once or twice inside the 14 days: on its 10th day it has been paid twice, and you pay for 10 days of the 14. The refund goes back the same way you paid, within 14 days, and costs you nothing.
The quickest way to withdraw is the "Withdraw from contract here" link at the foot of every page. If you are not signed in, enter your account's email address there. The withdrawal takes effect when we receive it, and we send the refund straight away. The email, the letter and the form above work just as well.
Ending a plan at any time
Apart from the right of withdrawal, anyone can end a plan at any time with the "Cancel contracts here" link. No more payments are taken, and the plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for. A consumer on a plan paid every three months or every year can, once its first period is over, end it one month after cancelling, and we refund the rest of the period. We confirm every cancellation by email straight away, with the date and time we received it.
